This day had to come for me to finally realize that a Tumblr blog is simply no longer up to date, even if I still nominally have over 4,500 followers there.
A little recap
I always loved to draw and paint and this was always acknowledged in my childhood and youth. But then I was confronted with lots of outstanding illustrators and artists in my immediate environment during my studies and lost a bit of self-confidence in my abilities.
After graduating in 2009, I took the more viable path as an art director. In 2011 I finally found access to my own creativity again, far away from briefings. In order to not only produce for the drawer, I started posting the results of it on Tumblr. In this playground I drew, painted, photographed, studied human anatomy, painted guitars and walls, and documented all sorts of projects.
Times change
As Tumblr's popularity was increasingly overtaken by new platforms like Instagram, I eventually moved my experiments there.
At this point, I'm going to officially say goodbye to my old blog and not post anything there anymore. Instead, you can look forward to new content here.
